    We'll have proper conversations where I ask questions designed to dig deeper than "how did you meet?" I want the real stories, the moment you knew, the thing they do that makes you laugh, the adventures you've had, where you're heading together. This is where the magic starts.

  • A Ceremony That's 100% Yours

    I'll write something completely bespoke that weaves your stories together with warmth, energy, and the right balance of laughter and heart. Whether you want traditional elements, something completely alternative, or a mix of both, we'll create exactly what feels right for you.

  • Unlimited Revisions

    You'll get to see your ceremony before the big day (or you can leave it as a surprise if you prefer, some couples do!). Either way, we'll refine it until it's perfect.

  • Confident, Engaging Delivery

    I'll arrive early on your wedding day, connect with your other suppliers, and make sure everything flows smoothly during the ceremony. I reassure the couple with any last minute panics they may be experiencing and give techniques to deal with any nerves they may be feeling. I welcome your guests, build rapport, encourage them to say hello to the people they are sitting next to that they may not know and do the little announcements like asking them to turn their phones off
    When it's time, I'll deliver your ceremony with energy, warmth, and enough confidence to keep everyone engaged, including the kids at the back and Great Uncle Ted who's seen it all.

    A beautiful symbolic ritual that quite literally ties you together. I'll explain the history, help you choose your colors, and incorporate it seamlessly into your ceremony.

  • Involving Your People

    Readings, symbolic rituals, surprise performances, if you want family and friends involved, we'll work out exactly how to make it meaningful (and smooth).

How It Works

  • 1. First Chat (Free)

    We'll jump on a call or video chat so you can get a feel for whether I'm the right fit for you. No pressure, just a straightforward conversation about what you're looking for.

  • 2. You Book Me

    Once you're sure, I'll send over my contract, booking form and a deposit invoice. Once the booking form is completed and returned and the deposit is paid. I am your Celebrant, and your date is secured.

  • 3. Three Months Before

    I'll send you a variety of questionnaires designed to help me understand you as individuals, as a couple and what kind of ceremony you would like. They're actually quite fun to fill in, most couples tell me they enjoy this bit. One of the questionnaires I ask you not to share your answers with your partner and it’s not until the day that you hear what you truly mean to each other. For some the secrecy is quite a challenge!

  • 4. We Refine the Details

    We'll have a follow-up call to clarify anything, discuss ideas for rituals or special elements, and make sure I've captured everything you want in there.

  • 5. I Write Your Ceremony

    Based on everything you've shared, I'll craft your ceremony and send it over for your approval (if you want to see it beforehand). Some couples like it to be a complete surprise, some want a brief run down of what happens when, and others want to read through the whole script. Whichever is right for you is fine, but I don’t divulge the secret stuff - it’s worth the wait, I promise.

  • 6. The Big Day

    I'll arrive early, make sure everything's ready, and deliver a ceremony that has your guests saying, "That was brilliant."

Where I Work

I predominantly work across Derbyshire because it's stunning and full of incredible venues, from historic estates to countryside barns, boutique hotels to people's back gardens. I've conducted ceremonies for 8 guests and for 200 guests, in the middle of woods, inside tipis, even on a moving canal barge.
But I'm also happy to consider venues further afield, including destination weddings abroad. If you're planning something beyond Derbyshire, let's chat about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to do our legal ceremony separately?

In England, yes. Independent celebrants can't conduct the legal bit (yet, we're campaigning for that to change). Most couples do a quick signing at the registry office a few days before, then have their "real" ceremony with me. Trust me, no one wants the registry office ceremony to be their actual wedding, it's genuinely just admin.

Can we include religious elements?
