Saying goodbye to someone shouldn't feel like going through the motions. It should feel like a proper celebration of who they were, the laughter they brought, the quirks that made them them, the mark they left on everyone lucky enough to know them.

I take time to understand the person behind the memories. What made them tick. The stories that still make people smile. The achievements worth celebrating and the everyday moments that mattered most. Then I create a ceremony that honours all of it with warmth, sincerity, and, when it feels right, respectful touches of humor.

Whether you're planning a cremation, burial, ashes interment, or celebration of life, I'll work with you to create something that feels true to the person you're remembering. Religious elements, humanist approach, or somewhere in between, it's entirely your choice.

I'm based in Derbyshire and absolutely love working across this beautiful county, from historic buildings to countryside barns, from stately homes to people's back gardens. The variety of stunning locations here never gets old.

That said, I've been known to venture further afield and would also consider venturing abroad for the right ceremony. If your special day is happening outside Derbyshire, let's chat about it.

  • I've Been Around the Block

    My background isn't your typical path to celebrancy. I've served in the Royal Air Force, run my own business, coached singers, directed choirs, and even had my moment on Bargain Hunt (yes, really, and yes, there's video evidence). All of this means I bring organisation, empathy, communication skills, and a healthy dose of "let's make this brilliant" to every ceremony.

  • I Make People Comfortable

    Standing in front of everyone you know can be nerve-wracking. My job is to make sure you're relaxed enough to actually enjoy your moment. I've been told I have an uncanny resemblance to Miranda Hart's personality (minus the clumsiness, I promise). What that really means is I'll put you at ease, probably make you laugh, and keep things warm and genuine throughout.

  • I Project

    Years of singing and directing choirs means I know how to fill a room with my voice. No nervous mumbling, no straining to hear, everyone will catch every word, whether we're indoors or out in a field somewhere.

  • I'm Adaptable

    Intimate elopement with just you two and a photographer? Grand affair with 200 guests? Ceremony in the middle of a wood or on a moving canal barge? (Yes, I've done that.) I'm comfortable in any setting and can adapt to whatever your day throws at us.

  • I Ask the Right Questions

    I'm genuinely interested in people and their stories. I'll dig deeper during our planning sessions to find the details that make your ceremony truly personal, not just surface-level facts, but the real stuff that makes you you.
